I'm not able to find the 'refresh' key. It is usually F5 on other keyboard but not on this one. I know I can do it on the website but I would really prefer to press a key on this keyboard. Note that the keyboard shortcut for turning on & off the 'VoiceOver' feature (in Universal Access preferences) is Command-F5
I mention this because there have been a lot of people who have accidentally turned on Voice Over via this shortcut when they were trying to do a refresh in Firefox for example. (One symptom is black boxes around items on the screen.)

You can disable shortcuts in the preference pane. For instance I disabled Command-Option-D (show/hide dock) since it interferes with PhotoShop (Feather Selection).

If you have multiple accounts, why not just assign F5 to the check all function??

Hayne's comment, which appeared while I was writing mine, suggest a reason to not attach F5 to the check all... ????? The idea of a one key check-all appeals, but at what realistic cost?

I mentioned that. The menu item name is 'Get All New Mail'. Some people only have one account, so I explained both (because the menu item names are different).

Use the freeware Spark (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14352) to bind keys within certain applciations. I think that the new Quicksilver also now allows a scope (application specific) to be assigned.
